Thomforde, Zabel pace MSUM to win at home

MARSHALL, Minn. – Haley Thomforde led Minnesota State University Moorhead with 17 points as the Dragons defeated Southwest Minnesota State 70-52 Saturday in women’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference basketball.

Morgan Zabel added 16 points and Megan Strese tallied 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds for MSUM (8-4, 4-4 NSIC).

Bree Holleman scored 11 points and Ellen Degler had 10 points to lead the Mustangs (2-10, 0-8 NSIC).
