Weekend Watch: Cirque Ziva tumbles into town for a show tonight at the Fargo Theatre
Cirque Ziva rolls, folds, flies and tumbles into town for a show tonight at the Fargo Theatre.
For more than 30 years, the Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats have been bringing their centuries-old gymnastics to towns across the country, adding new twists throughout the years.
Different from Cirque du Soleil shows, which feature a variety of physical and vocal performers, Golden Dragon Acrobats’ newest show, Cirque Ziva, is all about the acrobats, all trained from childhood.
The two-hour production features a mix of solo and group feats, from foot juggling to balancing acts, both single and ensemble contortionists.
The first act starts rolling with a human wheel and ends with ball and hat juggling giving way to a group unicycle ride.
Stay around for the second act, which winds down with the death-defying tower of chairs.
With theatrical staging and Broadway lighting, the Fargo Theatre will host a visual treat tonight and a great way to warm up to 2014.
