Act Up holds auditions on Thursday
FARGO – Act Up Theatre holds auditions for summer productions from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at The Stage at Island Park. Auditions are by appointment only through actuptheatre.org.
The troupe produces two plays this summer, starting with a partial re-cast of last summer’s musical, “Bare: A Pop Opera,” about two gay high school friends figuring out their identities. The show runs July 10 through 13.
“Next to Normal,” a rock musical about a mother dealing with a bipolar disorder, runs July 23 to 27.
After their Fargo runs, both productions will be brought to Edinburgh, Scotland, for performances at the International Fringe Festival.
Rehearsals for both shows are set for June and July.
Callbacks will be held Jan. 3 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Actors unable to attend auditions may submit a video audition. Actors under the age of 18 must have a completed parental permission form to audition. For more information, email email@example.com.
