Curfman headlines Winter Blues Festival

FARGO – It will be a homecoming at the Fargo Winter Blues Festival as homegrown singer/guitarist Shannon Curfman headlines the Feb. 8 concert.

The show, at the Doublewood Inn and Convention Center, kicks off at 4 p.m. with an unplugged set from The Blue Wailers at 4 p.m., followed by the Chicago’s Maurice John Vaughn Band. Shawn Holt takes over for his late father, Magic Slim, fronting The Teardrops at 7 p.m.

Curfman’s headlining set starts at 9. The 28-year-old last played Fargo in March as a member of Kid Rock’s band.

An “after-fest” jam session featuring Maurice John Vaughn and Troy Anderson kicks off at 9:30 p.m. in the Doublewood Lounge.

Advanced tickets for this all-ages show are $25 at Happy Harry’s, Mother’s Music, fargobluesfest.com and (701) 287-7775.
