Glyndon man who led police on high-speed chase sentenced to 4 yearsMOORHEAD – A Glyndon man who led police on a high-speed chase in August was sentenced Friday to four years in prison.
Dana Thomas, 29, pleaded guilty to felony counts of driving while intoxicated and fleeing in a vehicle. He received credit for having served 142 days behind bars.
As part of a plea deal, a charge of driving while intoxicated and two counts of property damage were dismissed.
On Aug. 1, police tried to pull over Thomas in Moorhead for exhibition driving, but he fled north on U.S. Highway 75, reaching speeds of 100 mph. He turned at 70th Avenue and drove through farm fields before police caught him.
