Fargo police have two persons of interest in Hornbacher's incident

FARGO – Police here have two persons of interest in the case of a man accused of pulling a knife on a grocery store security officer, Lt. Joel Vettel said.

The man displayed the knife Wednesday afternoon at Hornbacher’s, 1532 32nd Ave. S., after a security officer suspected him of shoplifting. The man fled, and police were unable to find him that afternoon.

About noon Friday, a loss prevention officer at Wal-Mart, 4731 13th Ave. S., called police after he saw a man in the store he believed pulled the knife at Hornbacher’s, Vettel said.

After arriving at Wal-Mart, police drew their guns on Joseph Ledoux, 35, and Christopher Lovin, 26, in the parking lot. The men were arrested on unrelated warrants and are considered persons of interest in the Hornbacher’s case, Vettel said.
