Professional development (Dec. 21)Markel earns nationally recognized credential
David Markel of Catalyst Medical Center and Clinical Spa, Fargo, has been awarded the Certification in Otolaryngology Practice Management.
He was one of 13 candidates nationwide to complete the COPM exam this year. To qualify for the certification exam, candidates must demonstrate successful experience in otolaryngology practice management, management responsibility, education and continuing education, membership in professional organizations, and professional contributions to the field.
Thomas Beadle selected for leadership training
Rep. Thomas Beadle, R-District 27, Fargo, was among 37 lawmakers to complete a leadership training program that identifies and assists emerging state and provincial leaders in the Midwest.
Beadle met recently with fellow lawmakers from 11 Midwestern states and four Canadian provinces in Madison, Wis., for the Council of State Governments’ annual Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development.
A program of the Council of State Governments’ Midwestern office, BILLD is held in partnership with the University of Wisconsin’s Robert M. La Follette School of Public Affairs. In addition to courses designed to develop leadership skills, the program analyzes a variety of public policy issues, including health care, higher education and the regional economy.
Asche attends Thrivent forum on investment
Steve Asche, a wealth adviser with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Fargo, recently attended an investment forum with 80 of Thrivent Financial’s approximately 2,500 financial representatives nationwide.
He was invited to attend the forum as a result of achieving selected sales production goals.
Those attending the forum learned about the latest investment trends from investment leaders, portfolio managers, analysts and product experts from Thrivent Asset Management as well as outside industry leaders.
