Contributions (Dec. 21)Wal-Mart donates to ND Association of the Blind
The Wal-Mart store on 13th Avenue South in Fargo and the store manager, Cody Schmitz, have donated $1,500 to the North Dakota Association of the Blind.
The association provides a number of services to people with sight loss, including the annual summer camp at Camp Grassick near Dawson, N.D.
LongHorn provides meal for local youth club
Each holiday season, LongHorn Steakhouses designate a local charity to support. This year, the Fargo restaurant hosted a holiday meal Dec. 16 for youth members of the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley, Fargo.
Brite-Way donates to Great Plains Food Bank
Brite-Way Window Cleaning, Fargo, has donated $3,000 to the Great Plains Food Bank, Fargo.
The funds will be used to provide food for the needy.
F-M Area Foundation awards funds to TNT
TNT Kid’s Fitness in Fargo has received $1,000 from the William and Anna Jane Schlossman Fund on behalf of the F-M Area Foundation. The funds will be used to benefit children of all abilities in physical activity in TNT’s fitness and gymnastics programs.
Essentia Health gets DMF matching grant
The Essentia Health Regional Foundation has received a $100,000 matching grant from the Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo.
The grant allows donors to the Essentia foundation to double the impact of donations with a dollar-for-dollar match up to $100,000.
The funds will support Essentia’s patient care programs, community health initiatives, medical education, research, facility development and technology advancements.
