Letter: Blaming reporter ignores underlying safety concernForum Editor Matthew Von Pinnon’s comment (column, Dec. 15) that perhaps we are shooting the messenger is the best conclusion. Are schools a dangerous place to send defenseless children or have there always been senseless killings that have not appeared in the news?
One thing is for sure and that is signs do not protect children. The schools should be more proactive about controlling the people who come into the buildings.
Blaming the reporter is ignoring the real problem. Let’s concentrate on the real problem: protect the schoolchildren from shooters (killers).
