Letter: Put racist Cobb stories in the cartoon sectionWhen I read the first story about Craig Cobb and his misguided, younger ilk moving to Leith and proclaiming their white supremacist agenda, I must admit I was a little curious. Why North Dakota? Why Leith? What kind of backing did they have?
And to the media’s credit, these questions were explored and answered. However, I think it needs to be pointed out that this man has little to no influence on his racist peers, especially after his recent menacing of the residents in his community. Also, there is almost certainly little chance a large group of skinheads would move to North Dakota for a variety of reasons, although I would love to see a large group of Southern racists endure an epic, brutal North Dakota winter in the same housing situation Cobb currently lives in. Talk about great reality TV!
That said, let’s distill this whole silly situation down to what it really is: an aging, ignorant white trash, hate-crime fugitive living in squalor in the middle of nowhere. It is my opinion that further stories about him should be placed in the cartoon section instead of the main page. I’m sure Scotch can draw his antics in a three-frame format.
