Cullen Foundation awards $177,194FARGO – The Cullen Children’s Foundation has awarded grants to seven organizations that support children’s health. The total amount administered, $177,194, was announced in a press release.
Grants were awarded to Kamp KACE, Dakota Medical Foundation’s Lend a Hand Program, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Riding on Angels Wings, Outdoor Adventure Foundation, HOPE Inc., and Wishes and More.
In addition, the Sanford Foundation pledged $1 million to build a therapeutic room for inpatient children at the new Sanford Hospital.
Next year will be the last for Cully’s Kids Celebrity Weekend fundraiser, though the Cullen Children’s Foundation will continue with other events.
The foundation was started in 2003 by Moorhead native and NHL player Matt Cullen to provide financial resources to children’s health care needs, with an emphasis on cancer.
