Fargo lawmaker pleads not guilty to DUI charge

FARGO – A North Dakota state representative charged with driving under the influence has pleaded not guilty in Cass County Court.

Scot Kelsh, D-Fargo, did not appear at his arraignment this morning in Cass County District Court.

His attorney Willie Kirschner entered a not guilty plea on his behalf to the single driving under the influence B misdemeanor with which Kelsh was charged in November.

Kelsh, who has been in the state legislature since 1996, voted for more stringent DUI laws in the legislative session earlier this year.
