Letter: Promiscuity rise shouldn't amazeAfter reading the article and watching the video concerning the startling increase in the percentages regarding risky behavior by today’s youth, I had to ask myself: Why all the amazement?
Why wouldn’t we see an increase in sexual activity when in the public school system’s sex education (rather sex promotion), kids are taught that experimentation and doing it is all right as long as you ... (fill in the blank).
Why wouldn’t we see an increase in drug use (alcohol is a drug) when since around the late ’70s, early ’80s, the self-esteem gospel started to be preached with clarification values hidden in the mix, with not one credible coping skill given to young people except another therapy session or some other well- devised technique to destroy the family, pitting one against the other.
Why wouldn’t we see and witness the deterioration of our youth when the church has kicked God out of the sanctuary and welcomed the world and the world system into the pulpit?
So if there is any type of peer pressure, or the advance in media or half a dozen other lame reasoning, ad nauseam, concerning this increase in statistical rhetoric comes from an educational system that is more one of indoctrination than education (being told what to think and not how to think).
A “therapitized” reality with no consequential fault pointing to the instigator ... and a phony modern-day Christianity that is serving the creature rather than the creator.
Doesn’t surprise me a bit, and you can almost write the script as to what we as society are heading for ... needless to say this new concoction coming from this bag of magic tricks, the common core.
