Anderson remains near top at LPGA Q-school

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The quest still has the weekend to go, but Amy Anderson of Oxbow, N.D., has set herself up as a serious challenger to obtain one of 20 LPGA Tour cards this weekend at the LPGA Qualifying School tournament. She shot a 2-under-par 70 Friday and is in fourth place with two rounds to go.

More important, she’s six shots up on the 20th position. Her round of four birdies and two bogeys on the LPGA International Course in Boca Rotan, Fla., leaves her at 207 after her first two rounds of 68 and 69.

Jaye Marie Green continues to lead the tournament at 196.
