West Fargo man, Moorhead woman arrested after fleeing from Alexandria Wal-Mart

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – A man who tried to wheel a shopping cart full of electronic items out of the Wal-Mart here without paying didn’t get very far, police said.

Officers were called to a theft in progress at Wal-Mart just after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

A suspect, later identified as Dustin Lee Miller, 34, of West Fargo had allegedly placed $549 worth of electronic items in a cart.

When he was stopped by store personnel, Miller dumped the items and fled, police said.

Miller was then picked up by Jeneice Alisha Franklin, 35, of Moorhead, whom police say was waiting for him in the parking lot.

The two fled the area in a Ford Explorer and drove east on Interstate 94. Alexandria police caught up with the vehicle and arrested Miller and Franklin on allegations of gross misdemeanor theft.
