Anderson's 69 moves her into fifth place in LPGA Qualifying School tournamentMake that two straight days of steady play for Oxbow’s Amy Anderson in her quest to obtain an LPGA Tour card. She followed her 68 on Wednesday with a three-under-par 69 on Thursday and moved into fifth place in the LPGA Qualifying School tournament in Boca Rotan, Fla.
Her two-day total of 137 is seven shots behind leader Jaye Marie Green, but more important, five shots up on 20th place in the field. The top 20 players earn their card for next year.
The five-round tournament concludes Sunday. Anderson had five birdies for the second straight day at the LPGA International Course.
