Letter: Superintendent must be informedI was very surprised by the Nov. 12 assault on the female student at the Moorhead Senior High, yet The Forum reported on Nov. 26: “Superintendent Lynne Kovash said she believes the male student was suspended for this incident. ... She said the situation is still being examined.”
As superintendent, it is her responsibility to know about all incidents that take place in her schools, yet 14 days after the incident took place “she believes” but she doesn’t know. I find that interesting. Did Principal Dave Lawrence talk with the school counselor or nurse before bringing the two students together for a meeting Nov. 13?
Regarding another incident, this one at Horizon Middle School: Superintendent Kovash, do you know or do you believe the student who started the fire was disciplined, or is that still being examined? Were the parents who had students in the classroom where the fire was started notified about the fire?
