Fargo man killed in I-94 crash near St. CloudST. CLOUD, Minn. – One Fargo man was killed and another injured in a car crash on Interstate 94 near here Monday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol:
Just before 3 p.m., an eastbound semi jackknifed across the median of I-94 and the tractor part of the semi came to rest in the left lane of westbound interstate.
A sedan heading west was in the left lane of the freeway and the driver tried to avoid the semi but went into a slide. The driver’s side of the car hit the truck.
The driver of the car, Terrance Cusick, 52, of Fargo, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Toby Cusick, 43, also of Fargo was taken to a St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi, 67-year-old James Hall of Northfield, Minn., was not injured.
All three men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
