BNSF line reopens after empty oil tankers derailMINOT, N.D. - BNSF Railway reopened its line southeast of Minot about 2:30 p.m. Monday after nine empty oil tanker cars derailed early Sunday.
BNSF spokeswoman Amy McBeth said the derailment occurred about 6:45 a.m. Sunday near Selz after a pickup struck a moving rail car near the rear of the train.
The 104-car train, headed from Oklahoma to western North Dakota, dragged the pickup and caused the nine tanker cars to derail, McBeth said.
No injuries were reported, she said.
