Contributions (Nov. 30)Grant for food bank will help fund Daily Bread
The Great Plains Food Bank, Fargo, has received a $3,842 match grant from Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo, as a result of a challenge issued to guests who attended the Great Plains Food Bank’s annual Chefs’ Gala and Auction.
Grant funds will be used to support Daily Bread, the food bank’s perishable food recovery effort in Cass and Clay counties.
Slumberland donating beds to area children
For the 19th consecutive year, Slumberland Furniture will be providing beds to children in the Fargo-Moorhead area with help from the Knights of Columbus, Salvation Army, Walmart and Target.
The beds will be delivered on Monday from the Slumberland store at 1150 17th St. E., West Fargo.
AAA donation supports driver education
AAA North Dakota has made a $1,080 donation to the North Dakota Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association.
The funds will be used to purchase DVR in-car camera systems with monitors to be used as part of driver’s education training classes in North Dakota schools, including Cavalier, New Rockford, Hope, Mohall, Parshall, Kenmare, Washburn, Edgeley, Marion, Forman, Elgin, New Salem and Beach.
