Lakeland adds Hanson to adult services team

Lakeland Mental Health Center, Moorhead, has added Chad Hanson to its adult services team.

Hanson earned a bache-lor’s degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. His previous behavioral health experience includes working as a Rule 79 case manager at Access of the Red River Valley.


Miller joins Eyesite Family Eyecare

Anna Miller has joined Dan Levin at Eyesite Family Eyecare at 1695 43rd St. S., Fargo

Miller graduated from Bemidji (Minn.) State University and from the Illinois College of Optometry. In addition to providing general eye care, she has a special interest in pediatric eye care, adults with dry eye and contact lenses.


Harris joins Maring Williams Law Office

Lindsay M. Harris has joined the Maring Williams Law Firm with offices in Fargo and Bismarck.

Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in statistics and a minor in mathematics from North Dakota State University before graduating from the University of North Dakota School of Law, Grand Forks.

Prior to joining Maring Williams, she was a law clerk for Justice Mary Muehlen Maring of the North Dakota Supreme Court.


Teacher/coordinator hired at youth club

Amber Carlsrud has been hired as the preschool teacher/curriculum coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley, Fargo.

Carlsrud is originally from Twin Valley, Minn., and she graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in elementary education.


Sebelius promoted at Western State Bank

Paula Sebelius was promoted to consumer loan assistant at Western State Bank, West Fargo. She has served as a customer service representative with Western since 2008.

Originally from West Fargo, she will graduate in December from North Dakota State University with a degree in accounting.


Three new employees at Moore Engineering

Moore Engineering has hired Sheila Bjerke as an accounting assistant, Jeremy Boots as a senior project engineer and David Zemaitis as a MicroStation CADD technician. All will be working in the West Fargo office.

Bjerke previously worked at Titan Machinery as a settlement processor. She lives in Moorhead.

Boots earned bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota. He was previ-ously employed by Contour Engineering as a civil engineer. Boots is a native of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and now lives in Fargo.

Zemaitis received a bachelor’s degree in history from Florida State Uni-versity, Tallahassee. He was previously employed by Pitman-Hartenstein Associates as a MicroSta-tion technician. Zemaitis is a native of Fort Meyers, Fla., and currently lives in Fargo.


Manager named for skills training initiative

Clint Gilbertson has been named project manager of the North Dakota Advanced Manufacturing Skills Training Initiative at the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.

The program was recently awarded a $2.7 million trade adjustment assistance community college and career training grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. Gilbertson’s new role will include managing this grant for its duration over the next four years.

Gilbertson is a tenured faculty member who has served as an associate professor for welding technology at NDSCS since 2007. He has received an associate’s degree in welding technology from NDSCS, a bachelor’s degree in technology education from Valley City (N.D.) State University and a master’s of degree educational leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead.


Houston Engineering hires civil engineer

Dan Korf has joined Houston Engineering as a civil engineer. He will be working out of the Fargo office.

Korf is a native of Detroit Lakes, Minn. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

He previously worked at Cornerstone Rentals as co-founder and vice president.


Two promoted, two hired at Gate City Bank

Gate City Bank has promoted Karin Rudd to assistant to the chairman/president. Amy Durbin has been hired as the marketing manager and Kim Settel as the personal lending assistant manager. All work at the bank’s headquarters in downtown Fargo.

Janet Mindt has been named senior customer service and sales supervisor of the new Veterans Boulevard location in West Fargo that will open in 2014.

Rudd has worked for Gate City Bank since 2007. She graduated from Concordia College with a degree in English writing. She is also the artistic director for Red River Dance and Performing Co.

Durbin graduated from West Fargo High School and earned an accounting degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moor-head. She has 15 years of marketing experience.

Settel graduated from Moorhead Senior High School and she earned a degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

A native of Carrington, N.D., Mindt graduated from Carrington High School and she graduated from the University of Mary with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has worked for Gate City since 2004 in a variety of positions including teller and most recently as personal banking supervisor at the Hornbacher’s Village West branch in Fargo.


Cindy Gray promoted to SRF principal

Cindy Gray has been promoted to principal at SRF Consulting, Fargo.

She currently supervises SRF staff providing on-going planning and zoning services to the cities of Jamestown, Killdeer and Williston, all in North Dakota.

She has 28 years of experience working in site plan and development review, land use, growth management, zoning and comprehensive, park and transportation planning.

Prior to joining SRF, Gray was a senior planner for the city of Fargo and a transportation planner for the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments.


First International hires insurance agent

Jennifer Grimm has joined First International Insurance as an insurance agent. She will be working at First International Bank and Trust’s Osgood branch at 4501 40th Ave. S., Fargo.

She is a native of Fullerton, N.D., and has worked in the banking and insurance business for over 13 years. She also worked for eight years in aviation sales.


Lillestol Research hires recruitment specialist

Lillestol Research in Fargo has hired Melissa Hoffman as a recruitment specialist.

Hoffman will graduate in December from the Minnesota School of Business with a degree in medical assisting.


Financial rep appointed at Northwestern Mutual

Nicholas Collum has been appointed a financial representative by North-western Mutual. He will be associated with North-western Mutual Gores Network of Fargo.

He is from Moorhead and he graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
