Fire contained at Macy's at Minn.'s Ridgedale

MINNETONKA, Minn. — Firefighters have contained a rooftop fire at Macy's department store at Ridgedale Mall in Minnetonka.

Shoppers were evacuated after the fire broke out Tuesday morning in a construction area of the roof.

The Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/1aRqhGR ) reports no one was hurt and no major damage was reported.

Macy's is one of the largest stores at the suburban Minneapolis mall. The store is undergoing a major expansion.

Even as firefighters worked, shoppers were still able to enter the mall through other doors.

The fire came during the busiest shopping week of the year. The store planned to reopen Tuesday afternoon.
