Fargo hires City Hall designer
FARGO – City Commissioners here unanimously approved hiring T.L. Stroh Architects and HDR Inc., of Minneapolis to design a new City Hall at its meeting Monday night.
The City Hall Building Committee chose the two firms after receiving nine letters of interest in the project.
Terry Stroh said his Fargo-based firm has partnered with HDR in the past.
“HDR and us have partnered on a couple things, and we just seem to have the same values and same approach to trying to solve a problem for our client,” Stroh said.
Stroh was involved with the design of Hector International Airport as well as the Cass County Juvenile Center and Osgood fire house. HDR is an international firm with offices in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The firm recently completed the Mother Baby Center at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Children’s Clinic in Minneapolis.
