UPDATED: 36-year-old Grand Forks man killed in rollover early SaturdayTHOMPSON, N.D. – A 36-year-old Grand Forks man was killed in a rollover 2 miles north of Thompson early Saturday.
According to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, shortly after midnight a 2001 Ford pickup heading east on 10th Avenue Northeast in rural Grand Forks drifted into a ditch on the north side of the road.
When the driver, Travis Gierszewski, overcorrected, the pickup slid back on the road and into the ditch on the south, where it rolled an undetermined number of times down an embankment.
Gierszewski was thrown from the pickup. He was found dead at the scene.
This accident is under investigation by North Dakota Highway Patrol.
