No. 2-seeded Thompson beats Grant County in Class B consolation semfinals

MINOT, N.D. – Second-seeded Thompson bounced back quickly Friday.

It took Thompson less than 45 minutes to sweep Grant County 25-14, 25-13, 25-12 in the consolation semifinals of the North Dakota Class B state volleyball tournament.

The win came after the Tommies lost 3-0 to unseeded Stanley in a quarterfinal match Thursday.

McKenna DeMoe had 25 assists and also served six aces. At the net, Shaice Marx had 13 kills and Shannon Galegher 12 to lead the way.

Sydney Bentz led Grant County with eight kills.

Callie Carlson had a double-double in leading Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-20 sweep.

Carlson paced M-L-S with 12 kills and 21 digs. Shania Brackenburg had 29 assists.

Beulah’s offense was led by Jaime Murschel, who had 12 kills.
