Border States Electric to build new facility in Fargo

FARGO – Border States Electric will break ground this spring on a new facility on 16.7 acres of land between Fifth and Seventh avenues on 25th Street South.

The facility will house the company’s Fargo branch and Lighthouse, its retail location that features lighting products and services.

Both are currently located with corporate headquarters at 105 25th St. N.

The company has outgrown the space and needed to expand in order to serve customers, said Corporate Communications Director Tom Nelson.

The former space will be retrofitted for corporate use and include moving in employees currently working at the Pioneer Plaza building in downtown Fargo.

Work is expected to be complete in March 2015.

Border States supplies products and services to the construction, industrial and utility industries.

The company was formed in 1952 in Grand Forks. More than 1,600 employee-owners work in 63 Border States locations across 14 states.
