SD man gets seven years in ND armed bank robberyBISMARCK - A 20-year-old Rapid City, S.D., man was sentenced Wednesday to seven years and a day in prison for an armed bank robbery.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Colt Schneider to seven years for the use of a firearm in relation to a crime, and a day for the charge of bank robbery.
Schneider and Johnner Joe Ward Jr. robbed the New England American Bank Center on Oct. 18, 2012. They were found through surveillance video from a gas station where one of them bought gas shortly before the robbery.
Ward was sentenced in August to a total of 11 years in prison on charges of bank robbery and use and carry of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
