Lip balms come in cute packages but scents overpowering
There were a variety of flavors and colors that probably lasted me until at least the following Christmas.
I loved it and have always been a bit of a sucker for a cute lip balm. I recently tried a free sample of Twist & Pouts North Pole and Purr-fection lip balms.
The North Pole collection is a line of six holiday themed 0.14 ounce peppermint-flavored lip balm balls.
The company is touting the balls as the perfect stocking stuffer, and I have to say, they would make neat stocking-stuffer gifts.
The designs are cute and come in fun, bright colors.
The peppermint lip balm smells and tastes kind of like swiping a candy cane across your lips. That’s great if you love candy canes, but can be a bit much if you prefer more subtle scents.
The Purr-fection balm is a collection of animal-print, vanilla flavored lip balms.
These designs are fun and stylish, but again, the scent and flavor is rather strong and tends to linger.
One thing I didn’t like about Twist & Pouts is that you have to stick your finger into the pot to smear the lip balm across your lips.
Each lip balm ball sells for $3.99. Key chain clips are available for $4.99. I liked this option for attaching the lip balm to my purse. It’s a cute accessory and makes the balm easy to find.
Twist & Pouts offers a variety of designs, including lip balm pots that look like golf-balls, baseballs, and tennis balls. The company also sells refills so you don’t have to buy a new pot every time you run out. And if you really want to jazz up your lip balm, gem clips are available for $7.99. And instead of vanilla, people who order gem clips receive pink shimmer lip balm with citrus honey flavor.
