Bras on Broadway event raised over $150,000FARGO – The annual Bras on Broadway breast cancer benefit held Oct. 24 here at the Hotel Donaldson raised over $150,000.
All money raised through the event stays in North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota to help people fighting breast cancer.
The goal of this year’s event was to surpass $500,000 for the cumulative total over eight years. The month long event surpassed that goal and Bras on Broadway has now raised over $585,000 in eight years.
Over 85 pieces of wearable and non-wearable art were donated by artists and auctioned during this year’s sold out event.
The highest bid for a wearable piece was $1,100 for “All Steamed Up” created by Nikki Caufield and modeled by Amy Dusek. Shara Diers created the metal sculpture “Glitzy Bitz” which sold for $2,000 and was the highest non-wearable piece that sold.
