ND Democrats to hold hearing on Tioga spillTIOGA, N.D. – Three Democratic-NPL legislators will hold a field hearing this week about the 20,600-barrel oil spill that was discovered near here Sept. 29.
House Minority Leader Kenton Onstad (Parshall), Sen. John Warner (Ryder) and Rep. Marvin Nelson (Rolla) will hold the hearing from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Mountrail County South Complex in Stanley.
A news release said several people will testify and present at the hearing, including John Berger, manager of Tesoro’s Mandan refinery, as well as state officials and representatives of landowner and environmental groups.
The hearing is open to the public, and public comments will be welcomed.
