Trade Talk: Moorhead firms grow, move
Skatvold Family Dentistry, which has been at 1401 8th St. S. since about 2004, is constructing a new office building at 841 Belsly Boulevard in Moorhead.
Dentist Erik Skatvold said he expects his practice will move to the new building in late spring or early summer.
The sole reason for the move is the need for more space, Skatvold said.
D&M Industries, 4205 30th Ave. S., is constructing a building near its current location that will provide additional space for production and warehouse space.
D&M builds all-metal interior millwork products such as doors, windows and cabinets.
Tom Boyle, company president, said the business needs more space to meet demand from across the country.
D&M’s workforce has doubled over the past three to four years and now totals about 109.
Lindsay Ecowater Systems, 1324 1st Ave. N., is also expanding.
The business is in the middle of a building project that will mean 3,000 square feet of additional space for the company.
More on Moorhead
One more bit of Moorhead news: The city is the second-best place in Minnesota for people seeking jobs, according to rankings from NerdWallet.com, a personal finance and credit card comparison website.

Moorhead’s colleges and universities and their career placement services were also cited.
The city of Woodbury topped the NerdWallet list of best Minnesota cities for jobseekers.

Comparing monthly homeowner costs, Woodbury’s was listed as $1,935, while Moorhead’s was $1,294.
