Professional development - 11/16/13Tintes attends national LWV training
League of Women Voters board member Mary C. Tintes, West Fargo, attended leadership development training in October in Sioux Falls, S.D., sponsored by the league’s national office in Washington, D.C.
Tintes is a long-time member of the national organization and is a board member of the local League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley of North Dakota and Minnesota.
During the two-day session, she attended workshops that included techniques for growing the skills of emerging community leaders, increasing visibility of the league and empowering citizens to exercise their voices in the political process.
Sanford PA earns specialty credential
Candyce Evanson, a physician assistant at Sanford Health in Fargo, has been awarded a certificate of added qualifications in nephrology from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
She earned the credential by meeting licensure, education and experience requirements and passing an exam.
Evanson is the only certified PA in North Dakota with this distinction. Currently only eight PA’s in the United States carry this added qualification in nephrology.
Solheim earns equine massage certification
Jenna Solheim, general operations manager and farrier at the Brady Equestrian Center, Sabin, Minn., has earned certification as an equine massage therapist through Therasage, which is based in Madison, Wis.
