Police believe body found in Grand Forks park is an 18-year-old manGRAND FORKS – A body discovered Tuesday in a park here is believed to be that of an 18-year-old man from Grand Forks.
The identity has not yet been released.
Grand Forks police responded to the discovery of a body in Lincoln Drive Park shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said there was no threat to public safety. Sgt. Jason Dvorak said the incident was being treated as an unattended death and is under investigation. The body was taken to Altru Hospital.
A passer-by found the body near a boat landing in the park.
According to a news re-lease issued Wednesday, there appears to be no obvious indications of foul play.
