ND man with HIV charged with reckless exposure
MINOT, N.D. — A man who served more than four years in prison for sexual assault and corruption of a minor is now charged with transfer of body fluid that may contain the virus that causes AIDs.
KXMC-TV reports that 42-year-old Scott Bethke of Upham is accused of knowingly being HIV-positive and having unprotected sex with a person earlier this year in Minot.
Bethke faced the same charge back in 2006 but was found not guilty of the charge at the same time he was convicted of other charges including sexual assault.
He received a five-year prison sentence and was released from prison last year.
A Jan. 15 pre-trial conference has been slated.
