Letter: Sincere thank-you to big brother

Thank you, big brother, for your service. Even though Vietnam was an unpopular war, you went without hesitation to serve your country. You could not know that the government would abandon you and deny you the Purple Hearts you have earned, even though you still bear the scars from the wounds.

Thank you for fighting while getting doused in Agent Orange. You went, not knowing life as you knew it was gone. Now you struggle to breath. I wish I could give you my lungs.

Thank you for showing no animosity, even though you suffer nightmares, and exhaustion. You lost your health yet give us the greatest gift of freedom. I am proud of you and could not ask for a better brother.
