Style Profile: Feminine look for young professional
The 22-year-old administrative service coordinator for The Chamber favors feminine clothing that flatters her figure.
I spotted Peterson downtown at Atomic Coffee in a ladylike ensemble that was topped off with a fitted peplum jacket.
Describe your style. Classic, feminine and preppy.
What are you wearing today? J. Crew dress, suede BCBG boots, belt from Loft, New York & Company jacket and Dooney & Bourke handbag.
Why wear heels every day? I feel better. They add to my strut.
Who are your style icons? Christina Hendricks – if I could wear her “Mad Men” wardrobe to work, I’d be happy. And Kate Middleton because she always looks happy.
What do you splurge on, and how do you save money, too? My latest splurge is my Dooney & Bourke bag. A lot of my dresses are thrifty T.J.Maxx finds though.
What’s the worst wardrobe item you’ve purchased? My sister convinced me to buy a lace cover-up. It hung in my closet for years with the tags still attached.
What’s the best fashion advice you’ve received? My grandma always tells me, “You never know who you’re going to meet in the day.”
What’s always in your handbag? Lipstick. NYX products from ULTA are great and decently priced.
