Moorhead police arrest suspect in CVS Pharmacy robbery

MOORHEAD – Police arrested a man Thursday who they believe stole prescription drugs from a south Moorhead CVS store on Wednesday.

Ryan Sabot, 36, of Moorhead, was arrested after police found him at a home at 2414 3rd Ave. N., a release from the Moorhead Police Department stated.

Sabot is being held at the Clay County Jail. He is expected to appear in court Friday on charges of felony aggravated robbery, the release stated.

Sabot is believed to have walked into the CVS pharmacy at 822 30th Ave. S. about 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police said he entered the pharmacy area and told a worker he had a weapon, though he did not display one.

Sabot left the heading south on a bicycle carrying prescription drugs.

Sabot has a criminal history that includes a 1996 conviction of burglary in Clay County District Court and two 2011 convictions of burglary, one in Clay County and another in Otter Tail County District Court.
