Letter: Support for Cully’s Kids was much appreciatedI want to thank the Scheels Arena and the Fargo Force for their support of the Cullen Children’s Foundation at Saturday’s game against the Chicago Steel. Jon Kron, Whitney Baumgartner and their team couldn’t have done a better job in helping us make the night great.
Special Cully’s Kids Fargo Force jerseys were made in the orange and black colors of the foundation, with the jerseys being auctioned off just after the game. The fans showed their support in a big way, purchasing the jerseys to help the foundation. HOPE Inc. kids (all Cully’s Kids) performed sled hockey exhibitions just prior to the game and at the first intermission to show how some of the money raised helps kids in our community with mobility challenges and other serious health care difficulties.
A HOPE Inc. sled hockey skater brought out the Fargo Force flag and special puck for the ceremonial puck drop by another HOPE Inc. star who has been training for future Para Olympics tryouts.
I am very proud to be part of this wonderful organization and want to thank all those great fans who helped make the night a winner.
