Eight new employees at Discovery Benefits

Discovery Benefits in Fargo has hired Brenna Haider, Tom Boden, Jania Guest, Tana Lohse, Kara Beilke and Justin Nitschke as participant services specialists and Jenna Foster and Holly Mitchell as COBRA/billing solutions implementation managers.

Gate City promotes Ystenes, hires Rogers

Gate City Bank has promoted Cory Ystenes to personal banking supervisor at the Hornbacher’s at Southgate branch, Fargo, and has hired Logan Rogers as a business banking development officer to serve customers in the Fargo area.

Ystenes has been employed with Gate City Bank since 2010. A native of Fertile, Minn., he graduated from Fertile-Beltrami High School and from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in business administration.

Rogers is originally from Langdon, N.D. He graduated from Langdon Area High School, and he graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science with a degree in business management. He has more than seven years of experience in the financial industry.

Advantage Realtors welcomes Decker

Tori Decker has joined Advantage Realtors in Fargo. She has lived in Fargo for 15 years, working in customer service, sales and marketing.

She has worked in real estate since 2010 and specializes in listing and selling residential real estate.

Western State Bank hires Joyce, Guthmiller

Western State Bank in West Fargo has hired Patrick Joyce as a credit analyst and Sarah Guthmiller as a mortgage loan processor.

Joyce was previously a credit analyst at Cornerstone Bank, Fargo. Originally from West Fargo, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Guthmiller has more than 14 years of banking experience. She was previously a mortgage loan processor at Cornerstone Bank, Fargo. Originally from Enderlin, N.D., she attended North Dakota State School of Science, Wahpeton.

Sanford welcomes 8 new providers in Fargo

Eight new providers have joined the Sanford Health staff in Fargo. They include:

Dr. Clifford Mauriello, pediatric infectious disease, Sanford Broadway Clinic; Dr. Avish Nagpal, infectious disease, Sanford Broadway Medical Building, Dr. Sathya Machani, internal medicine, Sanford Broadway Clinic; Dr. Samy Heshmat, pediatric and adult urology, Sanford Broadway Clinic; Amber Szczepanski, certified registered nurse anesthetist, anesthesiology, Sanford Medical Center; Dr. Peter Biegler, interventional radiology, Sanford Medical Center; JoAnna Breding, physician assistant in neurosurgery, Sanford Neuroscience Clinic; and Dr. Christopher DeCock, pediatric neurology, Sanford Professional Building.

Mauriello graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, where he also completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric infectious disease.

Nagpal graduated from Kasturba Medical School, Mangalore, India, and he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in Fargo. He completed his fellowship training in infectious disease at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.

Machani graduated from Kasturba Medical School, Mangalore, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Grand Forks.

Dr. Heshmat graduated from Ain Shams University Hospital in Cairo. He completed his residency in urology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock. He completed his fellowship training in pediatric urology at Children’s Hospital Center, Cincinnati.

Szczepanski completed her graduate degree at UND, and she is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

Biegler graduated from UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Mayo Clinic and Graduate School, Rochester. He completed his fellowship training in interventional radiology at Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute, Miami.

Breding completed her graduate degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha.

DeCock graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. He completed his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Duke University Hospital, Durham, N.C.

Hedlund named MDS coordinator

Holly Hedlund has been named the minimum data set coordinator at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. She will be responsible for completion of resident assessments and care planning for residents at Bethany on University and Bethany on 42nd.

She is a native of Langdon, N.D., and she graduated from Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School. She received an associate degree in nursing from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Wadena. She also has an associate degree from MSCTC, Moorhead. She joined Bethany in 2012 and has served as a charge nurse in the transitional care unit at Bethany on 42nd.

Burnside, Johnson join Choice Financial

Pam Burnside has joined Choice Financial as director of consumer credit services and Cindy Johnson as director of consumer processing services, both at the bank’s operations center in Fargo.

Burnside has worked in the banking industry for more than 23 years in a variety of positions, including direct lending supervisor, operations lending manager and, most recently, as consumer loan officer/HMDA coordinator at BlackRidge Bank. She attended St. Cloud (Minn.) State University, Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, and she recently graduated from the University of Mary, Bismarck, with a bachelor’s degree in management.

Johnson has more than 13 years of banking experience, with experience in deposit services, direct lending and, most recently, as lending associate manager at American Federal Bank. She attended North Dakota State University, and currently attends Rasmussen College, Fargo, where she is pursuing a degree in business management and human resources.

Tiwari, Anderson join Essentia, Fargo

Dr. Sumit Tiwari, a cardiologist, has joined the Essentia Health Heart and Vascular Center, and Dr. Christopher Anderson, an emergency medicine specialist, has joined Essentia Health, both in Fargo.

Tiwari earned his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences at the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India. He served a residency in internal medicine at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Tulane University, New Orleans.

Anderson grew up in Fargo, and he earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Grand Forks. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Rochester, Minn.

Stubbe promoted to shift supervisor

Cheryl Stubbe has been promoted to shift supervisor for the Red River Regional Dispatch Center in Fargo-Moorhead. She has worked at the center since 2007.

Stubbe previously worked as an associate geographic technician in Fargo and as a guidance consultant in Chicago. She has a master’s degree in education from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Monilaws named operations manager

Patty Monilaws has been named life operations manager at the Halvorson Co., Fargo.

A graduate of Minot (N.D.) State University, Monilaws began her insurance career in 1999 and joined Halvorson Co. in 2005.

NDSU Info Tech hires Kwiecien, Greff, Koiner

North Dakota State University’s Information Technology Division has hired Stan Kwiecien as a help desk consultant, and Cody Greff and Daniel Koiner as desktop support technicians.

Kwiecien has worked as a student employee at the help desk since 2006, and he served as a student manager during the 2012-13 academic year. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from NDSU.

Greff worked as a participant services specialist at Discovery Benefits in Fargo and also worked with Sykes Enterprises in Bismarck. He attended NDSU and Bismarck State College.

Koiner previously worked for Cash Wise Foods in Fargo. He earned an associate degree in information technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.

Johnson joins CHARISM; new location announced

CHARISM has hired Heather Johnson to work in marketing and fund development.

The organization has also moved to new offices at 2601 12th Ave. S. Suite A, Fargo. They will host an open house at the new location from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5.

Ulteig hires engineering tech in Fargo office

Ulteig has hired Lauren Jensen in the company’s Fargo office as an engineering technician for land services.

Jensen previously worked for Ulteig for six years, then worked for the past year as office manager at Bentley Construction, Ulen, Minn.

She earned an associate degree in civil engineering technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Detroit Lakes.

Accounting firm names audit associate

Chelsie Johnson has joined the audit department of Widmer Roel, a public accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Fargo, Bismarck and Hazen, N.D.

She has a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud (Minn,) State University.

Cornerstone Bank hires two, promotes one

Cornerstone Bank in Fargo has hired Jessica Bristow as a mortgage loan processor and Josh Wiczek as a teller. Ryan Schumacher has been promoted to operations assistant II.

Bristow has more than three years of banking experience, including mortgage loan processing experience. Wiczek has more than eight years of customer service and cash handling experience.

Schumacher has been with Cornerstone Bank since April.

Supply tech hired at Fargo Housing

The Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority has hired Saul Mark as a janitorial/supply technician.

He most recently worked for ISS Facility Services and has extensive knowledge in sanitation, detailing property and construction.

Bell State hires Bauer, promotes DeSautel

Jason Bauer has been hired as vice president/agri-business lending officer at Bell State Bank & Trust, 1333 8th St. S., Moorhead, and Bethany DeSautel has been promoted to assistant branch manager at the branch at 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo.

Originally from Wishek, N.D., Bauer earned a bachelor’s degree from Jamestown (N.D.) College, and he has worked in the banking field for seven years. He was most recently employed at Bremer Bank in ag and commercial lending.

DeSautel earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University. She is a native of Devils Lake, N.D., and she has worked in the banking field for six years.

S&S Promotional Group announces 3 new hires

S&S Promotional Group, Fargo, has hired Jessica Scheuer and Alyssa Falvey as sales assistants and Nicole Maher as the art director and graphic designer.

Scheuer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has experience designing for a variety of different mediums that include screen printing, print and Web design.

Falvey graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising. She previously worked as a promotions coordinator for Radio F-M Media.

Maher received associate degrees in graphic design Web development at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead. She previously worked at CI Sport as the assistant manager.

AgCountry Farm Credit hires Tax specialists

Kelsey Buchholz and Mandi Vlach have joined AgCountry Farm Credit Services. Buchholz is an associate tax specialist in the Fergus Falls, Minn., office and Vlach is a tax specialist who will provide tax preparation and consultation to customers in the Morris and Alexandria, Minn., areas.

Buchholz previously worked as a senior auditor at Carlson Highland & Co. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn. She is also a certified public accountant.

Vlach was previously employed for four years as a staff accountant for Westberg Eischens in Willmar and Montevideo, Minn. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall, and she is also a CPA.

Three join team at Eide Bailly, Fargo

Dawn Balsdon, Caitlin Ekegren and Katie Hutton have joined Eide Bailly’s Fargo office.

Balsdon is a reimbursement associate in health care reimbursement. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, where she also majored in information systems.

Ekegren is an administrative assistant/

processor. She is currently a student at North Dakota State University.

Hutton serves as the Fargo marketing coordinator. She has more than five years of experience in marketing and public relations. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Concordia College and a master’s degree in mass communication from NDSU.

Maintenance company promotes 1, hires 2

Automated Maintenance Services, Fargo, has promoted Jameson Prim to Fargo manager and has hired Kristi Schiller as an account manager and Nikki Nogowski as an administrative assistant.

Prim has been with AMS since 2002, most recently as an account manager.

Schiller was previously employed at Moorhead Youth Hockey and was also self-employed. Nogowski previously worked for U.S. Bank.

Thompson, Ranum join staff at Dakota Spa

Bri Thompson and Bill Ranum have joined the sales staff at Dakota Spa and Pools, Fargo.

Thompson is a graduate of Concordia College with a degree in marketing and psychology. She was previously the promotions director at Radio F-M Media and has an extensive background in promotions and advertising.

Ranum has returned to Dakota Spa and Pools, having previously worked for the business for more than 30 years.

Vogel Law Firm adds Roesler as attorney

The Vogel Law Firm has added Neil Roesler to the firm as an attorney in the Fargo office. He is currently practicing in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, business law and criminal defense.

Roesler previously was a law clerk to Justice Dale V. Sandstrom of the North Dakota Supreme Court and Chief Judge Ralph R. Erickson of the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota.

He grew up in Leonard, N.D., and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, and a juris doctor degree from the USD School of Law.

Barney hired as Fraser Ltd. financial assistant

Stephanie Barney has accepted the position of financial assistant with Fraser Ltd., Fargo.

Barney received an associate degree in accounting from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Mayville (N.D.) State University.
