Letter: Restaurant incentive flawedMoorhead giving incentives to new and expanding restaurants to help with the disparity in minimum wage requirements between Minnesota and North Dakota is good news. Moorhead needs more eateries.
What can the city do to help the existing restaurants that have stuck it out all these years despite that difference in wages? I don’t have an answer; I’m just asking. There are a few restaurants in Moorhead that I love, and I know this minimum wage issue has been around for a long time. Would the city be able to help them, too?
It doesn’t really “equalize that salary difference between Minnesota and North Dakota” if it isn’t helping all of the restaurants, now is it?
