Fire destroys house in Kent, Minn.

KENT, Minn. – Fire destroyed an unoccupied house here Friday morning, a statement released by the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to the statement:

The fire was reported about 8 a.m. by a passerby who saw smoke coming from the house.

Firefighters from Abercrombie and Colfax in North Dakota and Wolverton in Minnesota were among the fire departments battling the blaze.

No one was home at the time of the fire and the Sheriff’s Office said it was unclear if anyone was living at the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
