Bismarck firm awarded ND energy studyBISMARCK — A North Dakota legislative committee has chosen a Bismarck company to help develop a long-range legislative plan for the oil industry.
The interim Energy Development and Transmission Committee on Thursday chose Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson over the Louis Berger (BUR'-zhur) Group, which is based in New Jersey.
The Bismarck engineering and planning company's study estimate was $125,000, or about $1,400 more than the Louis Berger Group.
The report is required as part by a bill passed in the last legislative session that requires study of "the likely changes to oil industry practices, production, impacts and tax policy in the foreseeable future of North Dakota."
