Plea set in connection with Bolstad crashFARGO – The defense attorney for the man charged in connection with the electric car crash that left a Davies High school senior in critical condition says he’ll plead guilty to an infraction in the case.
Mark Friese said his client, Jesse Craig, is expected to plead guilty in Fargo Municipal Court to an infraction of having no insurance on the GEM car from which Alexis Bolstad fell Aug. 4.
Friese said city prosecutors plan to drop a Class B misdemeanor charge against his client of failing to register the GEM car.
Court documents said Craig was not operating the electric vehicle, which is similar to a golf cart, at the time of the crash.
Bolstad is recuperating at a Denver hospital from a critical brain injury in the fall from the car. She’s expected to be released later this month.
