ND promises website to notify public of spillsBISMARCK — A North Dakota Health Department official told lawmakers that the agency will soon unveil a website that the public can access to see all oil spills and other hazardous leaks that are reported in the state.
Environmental health chief Dave Glatt told the Energy Transmission and Development Committee on Thursday that health officials are still considering how large a spill should trigger a public announcement.
North Dakota Democratic lawmakers say they want legislation to require regulators to publicly report all oil spills and other hazardous leaks.
