Fargo judge among 4 ND Supreme Court recommendations sent to governorBISMARCK — A committee who interviewed North Dakota Supreme Court justice applicants has sent its list of recommendations to Gov. Jack Dalrymple.
The Judicial Nominating Committee pared the list of 12 people to the four finalists. Douglas Bahr is solicitor general with the state attorney general's office in Bismarck; James Hill is a Bismarck trial attorney; Judge Lisa Fair McEvers serves in Fargo; and Judge David Reich is from Bismarck.
Dalrymple now has a month to make a selection from the nominees, ask for another list or call an election.
The court has to fill a vacancy created by Justice Mary Maring's pending retirement with four years remaining on her 10-year term.
