Embattled Lincoln, N.D., police chief can pack gunLINCOLN, N.D. — The Lincoln police chief who's on paid administrative leave because of a domestic violence restraining order against him may possess a firearm.
The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/18QxSV8 ) that Burleigh County State's Attorney Richard Riha says Lincoln Police Chief Marcel Sim may possess a firearm for "employment purposes."
According to court documents, a restraining order against Sim was signed Sept. 23 after a hearing involving him, his wife and their attorneys.
A special Lincoln City Council meeting will be held Monday about Sim's employment status with the city.
