Sanford Health announces Heart ScreenFARGO – Sanford Health Fargo announced Friday a new Heart Screen that will be available for the area.
The Heart Screen, which costs $50, is designed to discover cardiovascular disease and its risk factors.
The screening may include EKG, blood pressure check, heart score CT, and lipid panel. It is unique because it offers all of these tests in one location.
The American Heart Association states that because many first-time heart attacks or strokes are fatal, prevention and early detection is critical.
“Early diagnosis and preventive therapy for heart disease is the best line of defense for our families and our community,” said Thomas Haldis, interventional cardiologist at Sanford. “It is a very treatable and preventable disease as long as it is identified in its early stages. The Heart Screen at Sanford is the best way to facilitate early diagnosis and treatment.”
The Heart Screen will be available at the Sanford Center for Screening at 1720 S. University Drive, Fargo. To make an appointment, call (701) 234-3278 or (800) 821-2232.
