Family HealthCare to host free health fairFARGO – Family HealthCare here at 301 NP Ave. will host a free Fall Into Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event will provide free medical and dental screenings and education to children and adults in the F-M area. Health professionals will screen for five diseases and associated risk factors that commonly affect children and adults, including hypertension, asthma, diabetes, obesity and poor oral health. Flu shots will be available for $30 for visitors over age 19.
For adults, a health insurance enrollment help desk will be onsite, and an introduction to Family HealthCare’s fitness center will be offered. Other organizations, including the YMCA, Cass and Clay County Public Health, MATBUS, Prairie Roots Food Coop, CHARISM and the Fargo Public Library, will be at the clinic to discuss the services they provide to the community.
There will also be crafts, a Zumba group class and free T-shirts for the first 200 attendees.
