North girls soccer coach Cordell Sinding retires

FARGO – Fargo North head girls soccer coach Cordell Sinding announced his retirement from that position on Tuesday.

Sinding served as North’s head coach since 1996 – the year girls soccer became sponsored by the North Dakota High School Activities Association.

In his 18 years guiding the Spartans, Sinding amassed a career record of 218-71-43.

North made 17 state tournament appearances under Sinding and won state titles in 1996 and 2006.

Sinding was named Coach of the Year five times (2000, 2001, 2003, 2009 and 2010).

North High School plans on posting the position this week and hopes to hire a new head coach prior to the end of the calendar year.
