Breakfast benefit set for Tony HeitkampHANKINSON, N.D. – A pancake and sausage breakfast benefit for Tony Heitkamp is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Hankinson Public School. Free-will donations will be accepted. There will also be raffle items and a bake sale.
Heitkamp was recently diagnosed with cancer and has since had surgery and is now beginning chemotherapy treatments.
He has worked for Hankinson Public School for 37 years as a bus driver and scorekeeper. He also works for the county and volunteered for the Hankinson Fire Department for many years.
Benefit funds will help defray his medical expenses. Donations are also being accepted in his name at First Community Credit Union in Hankinson.
